After publishing our first sustainability strategy this year and as part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our carbon emissions, we are pleased to announce our partnership with the CO2nstructZero initiative.

Climate change is a pressing reality, and every industry must contribute to reducing carbon emissions to achieve net zero by 2050. The construction industry is no exception, with the built environment accounting for around 43% of the UK’s total carbon footprint.

At MiCiM, we are committed to playing our part. By joining the CO2nstructZero initiative, we align with the Construction Leadership Council to showcase our journey towards net zero.

What does being a Partner involve?

🔹 Signposting & Support: Providing guidance on one or more of the 9 priorities and reporting missing advice to the CO2nstructZero board.

🔹 Communications & Engagement: Utilising our communication channels to share CO2nstructZero news and hosting events focusing on the 9 priorities.

🔹 Performance Metrics: Assisting with the collection of industry data, supporting members in selecting appropriate metrics, and encouraging ongoing commitment to emissions targets.

🔹 Business Champions: Assisting members in becoming Business Champions and featuring them in communications and events to share their learning.
