02 Mar Dublin Team Charity Fundraiser

MiCiM’s team in Dublin recently held a charity coffee morning to raise funds for ‘Lighthouse – The Construction Industry Charity’ which is the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

Lighthouse offer a free and confidential 24/7 helpline and app for those working in the industry. They help by focusing on wellbeing and mental health and offering support and training to those that reach out and even have a ‘text for mental health’ service for those that aren’t able to vocalise their issues. Every single day at least 2 construction workers take their own lives in the UK and stress, anxiety and depression account for a fifth of all work-related illness with 2.4 million working days are lost due to injury or illness.

The whole Dublin campus site have supported this cause and donated towards the charity, at the time of release we have raised €1500 with some funds still coming through. We would like to thank all those that have been involved in setting up the coffee morning and raffle, those that have donated and the MiCiM team for highlighting the important work that Lighthouse – The Construction Industry Charity do.
