04 Nov MiCiM sign up to PPE recycling initiative
MiCiM are recycling our PPE to minimise our environmental impact ♻️
In alignment with our sustainability goals, MiCiM is now working with Bryson to recycle our old PPE. This includes hard and soft PPE, from hi-vis jackets to hardhats and more.
This recycling scheme aims to fully recycle all PPE, with an average of 80% being re-used or recycled into textiles and other products like insultation. Bryson pledge that none of the PPE handed to them for recycling ends up in landfill. By recycling PPE in this manner, businesses in the construction industry can reduce the demand for new plastic production and prevent microplastics reaching our rivers and oceans, which has a growing impact on our environment and human health.
We’re delighted that we can now dispose of our PPE in a more responsible and sustainable way. This represents just one way MiCiM is working towards being a more sustainable business, joining other initiatives like the reuse or recycling of all IT equipment.
