14 Sep Lisa Taylor attending Procore Groundbreak
In 2020, MiCiM announced our partnership with Procore, utilising the system as our preferred construction management, health and safety management, and commercial management document control system. Where possible we use the platform across our projects unless clients’ requirements differ, Over the years we have developed key tools with Procore and work closely with them to improve the way we want the system to work for us.
This year, MiCiM Commercial Operations Manager, Lisa Taylor was invited to talk at the prestigious event for Procore, called Ground break, which brings together the most passionate and innovative thought leaders from around the world who are embracing the transformation happening across our industry.
Lisa will be speaking in person at the event in Chicago, on Wednesday 20th September at 3:00 – 3:50 PM CDT / 9:00 – 9:50 PM Your local time, she is talking about Activity-Based Costing and WBS: Implementation and Benefits;
‘Activity-Based Costing (ABC) is a cost accounting method that assigns overhead and indirect costs to related products and services. This costing method recognizes the relationship between costs, overhead activities, and manufactured products, assigning indirect costs to products less arbitrarily than traditional costing methods. In this session, attendees will hear from Lisa Taylor, Operations Manager (Commercial) at MiCiM Ltd, to learn more about ABC and how it works, how ABC accounting is applicable in the construction industry, and why WBS is essential to ABC. In addition, attendees will learn how to implement ABC with Procore and Procore Analytics and learn more about a traditional ABC approach versus a time-driven approach.’
