MiCiM signs Armed Forces Covenant

At the start of this year MiCiM signed up to the armed forces covenant, a pledge to support the recruitment of ex-forces personnel. MiCiM are a forces friendly employer and are committed recruit from this field as many people have great transferable hard, soft, leadership and communication skills. We acknowledge that they bring a vast experience and skills including IT, Engineering, Project Management and Training experience, and have a strong work ethic, are reliable and dependable, with the ability to handle stress and work under pressure. Ex-armed forces are highly motivated, task orientated individuals with a natural aptitude for teamwork and problem solving.

Alongside all these great qualities, with the development of leadership skills through team building, stakeholder management, supervision and delegation, mentoring, coaching, performance evaluation and time management, which are all key leadership skills ideal for managerial or supervisory positions within MiCiM.

Following Guy Trivette’s recent spotlight, we asked him why being ex-forces would make an ideal recruit for our sector, he said, “It helped me discover an aptitude in mechanical engineering and develop it further to the point at which I was training others.” A key example of how he has managed to put his methodical training into practice at MiCiM as a MEP Manager.

MiCiM are proud to support such a wonderful initiative.
