Slough Berkshire

Value: £38M

This project was carried out by senior members of our team prior to the formation of MiCiM

New Data Centre facility which turned out to be the 2nd and 3rd appointment with the same client. The Data Centre was a phased delivery, to a combined overall project value of £38m. Conversion of a warehouse to a fully functioning, high security Data Centre, aimed at modular colocation tenants.

At the time of the phase 1 build, we instigated the use of industry leading ‘floating set point’ technology on the chilled water system, which was projected to save our client over £500k over the lifetime of the equipment. On the 2nd phase the client changed their cooling philosophy and we were able to redesign the existing gantry and infrastructure to facilitate larger cooling equipment, without any impact to the technical space available at the completion of future phases.
