PMO Function Creation – Siân Straw

At MiCiM we want to continually support our staff to develop their skills, knowledge and potential in order to strengthen not only MiCiM’s capabilities but their personal careers. We like to encourage our staff to explore their abilities which can lead to establishing new roles within the business that cater to their strengths.

Most recently we have seen the need for a PMO function within MiCiM’s core business and have successfully appointed Siân Straw to this new position. Siân has a proven track record as a lead document controller. Siân’s new position as PMO Lead will allow her to utilise many transferable skills in providing governance to all projects, collating and analysing information from the projects and ensuring all administration functions are supported. Siân recently passed her PRINCE2 certification, which is a structured project management course and practitioner certification programme. PRINCE2 emphasises dividing projects into manageable and controllable stages. We know that building on this knowledge gained through her training will aid Siân in her new position.

This follows Lisa Taylor’s successful career change within MiCiM from Project Management to Commercial Management supported by external training provided by MiCiM.
