The main structure was erected with the use of 2,700 tonnes of steelwork & 5,200sqm of metal deck across 4 data halls and the administration building.
MiCiM provided client-side Project Management from the planning, design and procurement stage through construction and commissioning, we were engaged to work with the internal client team and with the relevant client appointed external parties including consultants, architects and cost consultants.
Garry Dryburgh, MiCiM Project Lead said, “Construction commenced on 8th January 2021 on this fast track and challenging project, at the peak of the project MiCiM had a total of 30No members of staff on site. The main construction, testing and commissioning was completed in August 2022 with practical completion being called on 29th August 2022. The team pulled together unbelievably well, considering the project was during the middle of the COVID Pandemic and the effects of Brexit, both seriously effecting progress on site, with delivery of material and also effecting the required number of labour onsite. They showed true grit, strength as a team and determination to successfully pull through the completion of the project. They worked long hours and weeks with close collaboration with the client’s team and the end user to ensure all requirements were met. I’m very proud of all of them and their individual contributions to the successful completion of the project.”
